Trump Unveils America First Budget And Pelosi Is Mad As Hell About It
President Trump is on one hell of a roll after being cleared by the Senate of the bogus impeachment case concocted by Nancy Pelosi and her minions.
With Democrats in complete disarray following last week’s acquittal, the Iowa caucus disaster and Pelosi’s nationally televised SOTU meltdown, Trump has now unveiled a $4.8 trillion budget heavy on America first spending.
The proposed budget would boost funding for the military, NASA, the Dept. Of Veterans Affairs and Homeland Security while cutting back on the social programs used by Dems to keep their voters trapped in an endless cycle of despair and dependence.
And it will also include $2 billion for a border wall which Democrats have ferociously opposed despite its being a humanitarian and national security necessity and will cut back on foreign aid.
The details of the “America First” budget immediately triggered Madame Speaker who grows more unhinged by the day while the POTUS piles up wins and steams toward a landslide reelection.
The budget is a statement of values. Once again, the #TrumpBudget makes it painfully clear how little the President values the good health, financial security and well-being of America’s hard-working families. https://t.co/ohbibWuyY1— Nancy Pelosi (@SpeakerPelosi) February 10, 2020
Half a trillion slashed from Medicare. $900 billion cut from Medicaid. The #TrumpBudget is the latest in a long line of attacks the President has carried out on the health & economic security of hard-working Americans. https://t.co/D8Vv8fxdK9 pic.twitter.com/jQThQv9u16— Nancy Pelosi (@SpeakerPelosi) February 10, 2020
Via The Hill, “Trump’s budget lands with a thud on Capitol Hill”:
“The budget is a statement of values and once again the President is showing just how little he values the good health, financial security and well-being of hard-working American families,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said in a statement.
“Less than a week after promising to protect families’ health care in his State of the Union address, the President is now brazenly inflicting savage multi-billion-dollar cuts to Medicare and Medicaid,” she added.
House Budget Committee Chairman John Yarmuth (D-Ky.) said Trump, who he called a “destructive and irrational president,” was releasing a “destructive and irrational budget.”
“He is proposing deep cuts to critical programs that help American families and protect our economic and national security. Furthermore, the budget reportedly includes destructive changes to Medicaid, SNAP, Social Security and other assistance programs that help Americans make ends meet – all while extending his tax cuts for millionaires and wealthy corporations,” Yarmuth added.
Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) added that Trump is trying to cut “the benefits working class families have earned, all to pay for his tax cuts for his billionaire backers.”
“His draconian budget, which guts Medicare, food stamps, and more, is the direct result of that corrupt alliance,” Markey tweeted.
Sensing an opportunity to rouse their demoralized rabble, 2020 Dems were quick to decry Trump’s budget with fear-mongering that their food stamps may be snatched from them and they would have to get up off the couch and work for a living.

With cuts to Medicare, to Social Security, to education, to affordable housing, to nutrition assistance and to retirement benefits.
This is a budget of unbelievable cruelty, and together we are going to stop it.

What it actually does: attempts to repeal the ACA, and slashes Medicare and Medicaid by over $1 trillion dollars.
This is low. Even for Trump.
Donald Trump is proposing cuts to Medicaid, Obamacare, and food assistance — while protecting giant tax giveaways to corporations and the super-wealthy. He has once again proved how morally unfit he is to lead our country. https://t.co/bwNi6knzuU— Joe Biden (Text Join to 30330) (@JoeBiden) February 11, 2020
After being burned on impeachment, the Democrats are back to bemoaning that any sensible cuts that affect those leeching off the government is an attack on helpless children and oppressed minorities and judging from the product being churned out by the anti-Trump media, they all got the DNC talking points.
The battle over the budget is yet another front in the larger war in which Dems have cast their lot with the siren song of socialism as a way to appeal to clueless, poorly educated young voters who believe that they are entitled to free stuff.
With the overriding theme of the election shifting to one of class warfare now that the impeachment house of cards has collapsed, Bernie, Nancy and their fellow travelers have now chosen the hill that they are prepared to die on.
They are foolish to bet against Trump who has the support of productive, patriotic Americans and a way of taking pleasure out of bedeviling his hapless adversaries.
